(PPLCI) and Pagasa ng Masang Pinoy Microfinance,\nInc.\n(PMPMI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PPMBAI\nwas\nformed as a response to the need\nof\nthe borrowers of PPLCI and PMPFI to provide them insurance.&nbsp; In 2012, PPLCI management decided to act\non the demand and started\nexploring options.&nbsp; A partner-agent\ndidn\u2019t push thru due to the constraint of the product that it offers, thus, the\nmanagement decided to put up its own Microinsurance Mutual Benefit Association\n(MI-MBA) in April 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nassociation was&nbsp; registered with the\nSecurities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a nonstock, not-for-profit\nassociation on December 28, 2012.
